Hoi Polloi at The Brown Collection, Marylebone, London

Ann Churchill is included in ‘Hoi Polloi’, an exhibition curated by British artist Glenn Brown from his own collection. The exhibition explores how artists have represented, resisted, or reimagined the ‘ordinary man’ through the lens of the spiritual. The Ecstatic Mark anchors the show, presenting works charged with energy, emotion, and desire, Ann’s works are shown in dialogue with Hendrick Goltzius’s precise 16th Century engravings, and Roger Hilton’s bold gestures, as well as Brown’s own masterful large-scale paintings.
